Hello, my name is Jovan T. Gorrell and I started my postal career at Chicago Metro L&DC as an MHA on May 2, 2015. After about 10 months ( March 2016)I became an alternate Union steward on tour 1 where I was able to learn a lot fast from my peers.  On August 16, 2016, I was converted to a full-time regular mail handler at Busse. On January 1, 2020, I became Chief Steward on Tour 1 for which I have held the position until being appointed Branch President on February 1, 2022.

 I am passionate about fair working conditions for all employees in the postal community as we build our Union stronger day by day.  I look forward to what the future holds for me as I continue to be an advocate for the people of my craft.  There’s is greater strength in unity as we fight for a fair future of the Postal Service Together with a sound plan and solidarity.
