NPMHU Legislative Priorities, 116th Congress

NPMHU fights to protect the legislative interests of all mail handlers and promote deeper involvement of its members in the legislative and political arenas. The legislative priorities of the 116th Congress include:

  • Promoting comprehensive postal reform, that protects dedicated employees while increasing revenues;

  • Repealing the disasterous 2006 mandate to prefund retiree healthcare benefits;

  • Fighting threats of privatization;

  • Restoring 2012 postal service standards levels; and,

  • Protecting the earned benefits of postal retirees.

If you have questions about NPMHU's legislative priorities, please contact NPMHU Legislative & Political Director Katie Maddocks at kmaddocks@npmhu.org
