I began my postal career in 1986, at South Suburban Processing and Distribution Center. I have been a staunch Union Advocate and Shop Steward since the year 2000. It has been my privilege to serve as South Suburban Processing & Distribution Branch 3 President since 2014. I have successfully filed numerous grievances on behalf of the Mail Handler Craft. I have received Arbitration Advocacy Training. I have completed various other trainings from the Union and the USPS. Being certified and trained in:
FMLA, OWCP, Labor Relations Contract Briefing, Contract Interpretation, Job Instructor Training, Train the Trainer & Facilitator Trainer. Advance Shop Steward Training, and Hazardous Material Trainer.
During my postal tenure I have participated in the QWL and Ergonomics process, Safety Captain Program, RI399process: Mail Handler Benefit Program for Local 306:
I am co-founder and contributing partner of the Mail Handler Academy, also I have been elected as a delegate to the NPMHU National Convention(s) 2008, 2012, 2016 and 2020.
